This has entailed comprehensive underwater inspections of the existing substructure. The inspections encompass as-building to confirm that the designed components will fit, structural analysis, identification and removal of anomalies such as formwork. HOI provided in excess of 50 specialists for above and underwater construction inclusive of marine-underwater superintendent and foremen. Work was conducted from two of the HOI DSV‘s and joint venture barges. HOI conducts diving activities utilizing both air and nitrox to depths 70fsw for underwater drilling, cleaning, pile driving, concrete tremie pours, installation of steel casings and concrete jackets. HOI has developed and built specialized equipment for cleaning of the substructure and diverless-diver assisted core drilling.
