10,500 feet of Port Security Barriers (PSB’s) fabricated, delivered and installed.

HOI completed in 2003, a PSB project at the Navy Submarine base in Bangor, Washington. The project began in August of 2002 with the award of Phase I and Phase II was awarded in November of 2002. The project was completed in 2003. The system was designed with 2-large ship gates and 2-small ship gates. The mooring system comprises of single, 2-point, 3-point and 4-point mooring systems in depths greater than 300 fsw. The barrier system regularly experiences heavy weather and currents from 2-4 knots.

1,750 feet of Nearshore Port Security Barriers (NPSB’s) fabricated, delivered and installed.

HOI completed delivery of 1750 feet of NPSB units to Navy bases on the East coast and Navy bases on the West Coast. This project was awarded in August 2002 and completed in 2003. The shipsets were deployed and set into service as soon as they were fabricated and delivered.

Harbor Offshore acquires an EXCLUSIVE LICENSE for (2) Navy Inventions.

Harbor Offshore Inc. (HOI) signed an exclusive patent license for two inventions with the US Navy. One license is for the commercial application on Port Security Barrier (PSB). The other license is for the commercial application of the Near shore Port Security Barrier (NPSB) technology. HOI expects to create a successful market for the port barriers in the private sector.

Queen Mary 2 gets a Port Security Barrier System.

On the 26th of January 2004 the Queen Mary 2 (QM2) arrived in Port Everglades on her maiden voyage to the United States. Upon arrival, HOI deployed 1500 feet of PSB around the vessel. HOI and its crew opened and closed the PSB gate 9 times while she was in Port Everglades and for a number of voyages she sailed on through the 31st of January 2004.

HOI recently proposed conceptual barrier sketches and drawings to Port Everglades for the permanent installation of 3-PSB gate systems at their tanker slips and refinery terminal.
