PSB Systems Are Connected Modules:

These modules secure port entries from attack by vessels from the sea. PSB's span and surround the designated area or port entry. PSB's form a solid barrier around area to be protected. Gates in PSB systems are installed for small and large vessel passage.

Nature of the Effort

Provide engineering, technical, fabrication, installation, and logistics support to install Port Security barriers and mooring systems.

Tasks Performed

HOI was tasked with the installation of mooring system components and Port Security Barrier modules. HOI provided crew and support services for the installation of 20,000 to 60,000 lb anchors. Precise positioning of 2 pt and 3 pt mooring anchors were completed using an integrated navigation system and dynamically positioned barge. The entire security barrier system is the longest barrier of its kind in the world.
